Jedlicze - Beskid Niski, Podkarpackie
Jedlicze is the municipality in Krosno district. It is resilient industrial centre.
The first mention of Jedlicze dates back to the fifteenth century. The name can be explained really easily – once upon a time these areas were overgrown by the coniferous forests, mainly firs (in Polish fir is jodła). Big number of these trees made that the settlers started to call the village Jedlicze.
The commune includes soletstvos: Moderówka, Długie, Chlebna, Dobieszyn, Jaszczew, Piotrówka, Poręby, Podniebyle, Potok, Żarnowiec.
The municipality has received many awards, among others: title of Fair Play Municipality 2004, 2005, 2006, and the title of the European Community, the European City.
- In the center of Jedlicze there is Neo-Gothic parish church. It was built in 1925.
- The mansion and park of the Stawiarski family, built in 1925.
- The manor house in Żarnowiec of the eighteenth century. In the years 1903-1910 there lived Maria Konopnicka. Today we can visit there biographical museum the name Maria Konopnicka.
